I read this 2xs today and noticed a few things I had not really focused on before.
#1 This is King Lemuel speaking,but, really just repeating what his mother taught him.
#2 He must have really been taught these thing a few times over his years as he held them dear enough to remember them.
#3 How much King Lemuel honored his mother just by holding all (or most) of what she said in his mind and heart.
I am going to point out the two Verses that spoke most to me .
Verses 8&9
V8 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves,ensure justice for those being crushed"
V9 "Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,and see that they get justice"
Know lets take a bit of a twist:
We ,if we know Christ as our Savior , are princesses right. King Lemuel was told by his mother (the Queen) how a king was to behave. Our Heavenly Father is King and has he not told us how to behave as children of His. As light to this world. As brothers and sisters.
-Be kind to one another Eph 4v31
-Restoring wandering believers James 4 v 19-20
-Love one another 1John 4 vs 7& 8
-Treat each other as Brothers and Sisters in Christ 1Peter 3 v 8-12 (may I say take the time to read these verses very powerful) !!
Do we read the Bible enough to know all God has for us. Do we love and Honor Him enough to hold all He has close to our hearts. Will we tell others so they can learn?
